The child first and always

Birds clinically doing better. Her labs are either not getting worse and some even a little better. She's getting some strength back and does great with PT. Yesterday she was a little sad/blue/basically just OVER IT all!  It made me sad to see her just lay there and stare at the celing all day! But by the end if the day she was smiling again!  And today's been a great day! I figure after all she's been through she's earned a sad day or two!
 Today Spider-Man came a cleaned the widows! So fun!!! I'm so thankful for everything they do here that's centered around kids! They truly follow their motto of "The child first and always". A perfect example is the fact that her Dr actually wrote orders today for her to go on wagon rides and have music therapy!! How awesome is that?  
Our goal today is to have FUN. Grandma and Grandpa Cowan are coming too, and that never hurts!!
Sorry for the dark grainy picture but Bird Finally smiled for me right before bed last night. First time in nearly 2 weeks!!! Oh How I love that toothy grin!

    I am so happy to see that toothy smile, even her very unamused glare. She is looking so much better, your post brought happy tears. I saw the Spiderman thing on TV this morning and I was so hoping she could see him. Music and wagon rides, what more could a girl ask, other than her beloved bird hat. Love you guys.
