Miracles happen!

 So like I said we got admitted on the 10th of April  And nearly a month of craziness later, After 14 months on the list, 1 false alarm, 4 weeks of 1B status, at 0930 on 5/7/13 WE GOT THE CALL!!! Well actually MISSED the call! Yeah, I was in radiology with B getting her echo done and when I got back had about 17 missed calls some from Sharon (the transplant coordinator) some from Shay!  I Couldn't believe it we had waited so long it was hard to believe is would really happen.

  I will never be able to put into words the love, heartache, and appreciation I feel for our donors family.  Bird has a second chance at life because of their amazing decision to choose organ donation.  I hope that through their grief they can have some ray of hope knowing that they have forever changed the lives of our family.  I hope they will always be able to feel my prayers for them.

 The surgeons were off to get birds new liver. They went clear back east to get it farther they had ever gone for a liver.  B was so sick and overly ready, and this little angels liver was completely perfect for my little angel!  To say we were ready was an understatement.

The OR time was set for 0200. Shay and Barbra came up and we got ready for the crazy road ahead.  At 0150 we kissed our baby and walked away.  That was HARD! I was so nervous for how the night was going to go, but it was actually not half as bad as I thought. I felt at peace! 

 At 0930 the next morning I got to see my girl!!!
