Liver day!!!

We've had quite the last few days. The people down south say we've gotten to good for them. But we have been busy with lots to do! 

These two party animals came up on Tuesday! 

Bird did some serious shopping. She can even keep up with Viv and not everyone can say that! 

We've spent a lot if time at the Dalley's. these kids are so nice to play with this little runt. 

We got to be there to celebrate Jackson's big 16. Bird loves to yell for "Jack-se" 

 Mitch is going to play football at SUU!!!! Yay!!! We can teach him ALL our great songs. ( not just "save the, save the, save the baby!")

Brandy and her boys came yesterday.  B had such a good time watching all the big kids play! 

These ladies have taken such good care of us! We are so thankful for all they do! 

Today Berkley got her staples out! Yay! 

She was super excited to ride in her stroller.

I've caught her looking at her belly a lot since. 

 On the way home Bird got to see her friend Eliot, the big black dog, and ride down in the elevator with him. She was so excited, she was shaking the whole ride. 

After the visit we went to go get a treat to celebrate ONE MONTH LIVER DAY! I can't believe the changes this girl has had since that roller coaster of a day on May 7th.

We've had a great week and this girl is getting better everyday! 

Long weekend

Man it was a LONG weekend for me. Thursday Shay Barb and Dan came up to stay with B and I had to go home and work.  I've been up here with her for so long it was super hard to leave.

Stacy and Everyone sent Bird the PERFECT present.  If she didn't have every single Minnie toy before.. she does now!!!

While I was gone these four did lots of playing they went to Cabelas and saw the giant fish tank,  then went to City Creek and saw the fish in the stream. Fish are B's fav (next to Minnie that is)

 

 

Sunday I drove back up North to see the little fart!  I was so anxious I woke up, showered, then got in the car and drove up, wet hair and all.

 

As you can see the glasses are still a hit.

We went to lunch and she wore them the whole time.

This morning I had to wake B up for the home health nurses visit. And it looks like she had a bit of a WILD night. 

Later this afternoon we had an appointment with Dr J. Everything looks good. Her staples have torn a little so we have to wait another week to get them out...that's a bummer. But medically she's doing Great! We're hoping to be going home sooner then we originally thought!!!

                               YAY!!!

Check up!

Today was a busy day at PCMC.  We were there most the day. But knowing that we would get to leave and go to our summer home made it not so bad! 

We started off the day in RT ( rapid treatment ) bird had to get an infusion. That took a while so we hung out and played. B was ALL OVER THE PLACE! She was in a big girl bed instead of a crib and was pretty proud if herself. She couldn't hold still!!! It's crazy how good she is at getting around now even when she's hooked up to so many things.

We ordered some scrambles eggs for breakfast this girls FAV! She always yells for dad when she eats them. Probably because he's the master egg chef at our house. Today birds favorite part was playing drums with the the utensils. 

After that was over we went up for a follow up appointment with Dr J. Bird got a good report we adjusted a few meds. Planned to take the staples out on Monday!!!! Yay! 

So Berkley is the first patient Dr J has had from diagnosis to transplant. Cool thing is she ended up getting her liver on his birthday!!! Yay, they will now forever share a special day! We are so thankful for all he's done to get us to this point. 

Ok so a while ago we got some paperwork to get a handicapped sticker. I figured we didn't really need it. Yesterday I changed my mind! It was. POURING rain, I had to park, unload a stroller load it with oxygen, a feeding tube bag, a cooler of meds, a diaper bag, and a bird. All while trying to juggle an umbrella ( with no success ). It was beyond comical! Then I finally get inside and realize I left my purse!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! 

Yeah so now when you see a Buick roll by with a handicapped sticker. Look twice there's a slim chance it's ME,and not just a 90 yr old lady! 

 

Very busy!

Since we have been out bird has been VERY busy. Were still here " summering" at our " get away house" we are defiantly trying to get the most out of it!

Sunday we woke up and did some serious cartoon watching.

Then bird helped her dad get ready. 

Later the Esplin's came by to see B. 

Berk showed them all her games.

The next day we went to City Creek. B loved all the water and the fish! She even talked her dad into ANOTHER Minnie toy. ( just what we needed!) 

We got home and B was quite the dance star. The last couple days she's been so stinking funny with her dancing! She's quite proud of herself. 

All of the dancing wore her out luckily her best cuddle buddy was here. 

Berkley loves this guy so much. He has spoiled us both this last weekend. It was so nice to be able to spend some time just the three of us. It's been a while. 

 Unfortunately he had to leave and head back to work "so you girls can have the finer things" is what he likes to say!

From the second Shay started to load the car B was NOT HAVING IT!! 

We finally said our good byes and Shay got on the road.

Luckily he left a treat for B to help ease the pain! 

Once that wore off B was back to searching for Shay. I'm basically chopped liver now a days. 

Today b and I were on our own we went to the mall. Man this girl is so funny these days she was sooo excited and amazed by EVERYTHING. I love hanging out with her she's so fun!

I guess I wore her out. She fell asleep in her wagon while I was cleaning! 

Now we have got all this playing done its time for reality. Tomorrow we have a busy day at the hospital. Get a few infusions, and see some Drs. And get a plan for the next few weeks. Hopefully find out when we can get rid of these staples!!
